Milk & Honey, Blood & Tears

World Premiere

This powerful and deeply moving film from Miami-based filmmaker Leslie Benitah chronicles the devastating impact of the October 7th attack on Kibbutz Be'eri, a community once known for its peace and coexistence just a few miles from Gaza. Through intimate portraits and personal testimonies, the film explores the courage and determination of individuals who survived unimaginable horror and are now rebuilding their lives and their community.

Once a symbol of the utopian ideals of the kibbutz movement, Kibbutz Be'eri was a tranquil haven where residents and neighboring Palestinians lived in harmony. This film juxtaposes the kibbutz’s serene past with the brutal reality of the October 7 attack, transforming a land flowing with "milk and honey" into one stained with "blood and tears."

Incorporating powerful archival footage and real-time accounts of recovery, Milk & Honey, Blood & Tears offers an unflinching look at survival, healing, and the enduring spirit of a community shattered by tragedy but united in rebuilding their future.

This special world premiere event will include the attendance of director Leslie Benitah, who will introduce the film and participate in a Q&A after the screening.
