Stabbed in the Back
World Premiere
This remarkable, one-of-a-kind film presents for the first time on screen the story of the 500,000 Jewish soldiers who served in the Central Powers (Germany, Austria-Hungary) armies during The Great War between 1914-1918, only to be persecuted a mere two decades later during the Holocaust. Most people do not know that Otto Frank (father of Anne) was one of the most well-known Jewish WWI veterans in Germany. After loyally serving his country, he was forced into hiding, and his country ended up murdering his wife and children for his sacrifice. The fate of the veterans and their ultimate betrayal is illustrated in this groundbreaking, colorized film.
The special premiere event will feature directors Peter K. Rosenbluth & Peter Banyavari in attendance to introduce the film and participate in a Q&A afterward.
