Eichmann Trial
World Premiere
This historical documentary follows the events of the monumental Adolf Eichmann trial: a turning point in the collective memory of the Holocaust. Held in Jerusalem in 1961 and 1962, the Eichmann trial riveted the Israeli public and aroused great interest the world over. This was the first time that the Holocaust was fully presented to a competent judicial body in all its stages. Journalists from many countries converged on Jerusalem to cover the trial, giving rise to discussions about the legal, social, educational, psychological, religious, and political facets of the Shoah. Featuring rare archival footage, this absorbing and comprehensive film gives audiences the sensation of being an eyewitness of the trial.
Accompanying the film premiere is a discussion with director Elliot Levitt and moderator Scott Bernstein, judge for the Eleventh Judicial Circuit Court in Miami-Dade County. To view the conversation please click here.
