Directed by Sandra Dickson & Churchill Roberts
USA | 65 minutes | 2012
The art and writings of Auschwitz victim Petr Ginz bring his remarkable story to life in this documentary tracing a tragic and little-known chapter of the Holocaust. By the tender age of 14, young Ginz had accomplished more than many aspiring artists do in a lifetime. In addition to penning five novels, produced over 150 drawings and paintings, and served as an editor for an underground magazine in the ghetto. Sadly, his life would end at 16, when he was forced into the gas chambers of Auschwitz. In this film, we discover how Ginz's remarkable legacy lives on, despite his untimely death at the hands of a murderous regime.
