In this sweetly tender and hilariously frenetic comedy, we're treated to a host of genius-level comedic performances by the likes of Jason Schwartzman, Carol Kane, Robert Smigel, and Dolly De Leon. An official selection of the Berlin Film Festival, Tribeca Film Festival, and Sundance, Between the Temples follows a cantor in a crisis of faith who finds his world turned upside down when his grade school music teacher re-enters his life as his new adult Bat Mitzvah student. This sets the stage for the ultimate vehicle for a pitch-perfect ensemble to lovingly needle the conventions of religion, family, and relationships.
