Burst the Silence

Miami Premiere

This poignant musical fable is centered around a father and son, and a gift that brings forth a long-buried past. Robbie, a bright and inquisitive young boy, is growing up under the guidance of his father, Konnie. Konnie is not only a captivating and unstoppable storyteller but also carries a haunting memory from his own childhood: surviving the Holocaust as a young boy, a memory he has kept hidden deep within the woods of his past. A pivotal moment unfolds in both their lives when Konnie presents his seven-year-old son Robbie with a guitar. Little do they know that this simple gift will enable Robbie to narrate the one story his father could never bring himself to tell. Burst the Silence is an evocative memoir that delves into the themes of forgetting and remembering, of being lost and, ultimately, being found.
