Zelimo

Directed by Aleks Rosenberg

USA | 91 minutes | 2001

Though not yet an adult, Zelimo has lived a life filled with loss. The young Jewish boy and his mother may have moved to the idyllic landscape of the Catskills, but they cannot forget the tragedy they experienced in their homeland. Through flashbacks we learn how he and his mother ended up in the United States after escaping from Russia, and how this journey affected everyone else in their family. But now as Zelimo assimilates to his new life in the Catskills, will he be able to let go of his haunting past that was filled with loss and embrace this American dream?
